Warehouse Order Picker

Warehouse Order Picker-Self Propelled Model

  • Vertical Reach Profile: 4500mm maximum platform height enables an effective operator picking height of 6100mm.
  • Narrow Aisle Geometry: 700mm chassis width allows navigation through standard door frames and 1.8m wide racking aisles.
  • Sustained Energy Capacity: 24V/150Ah battery bank delivers approximately 3.6 kWh for full-shift multi-cycle operations.
  • Precision Propulsion: Dual 0.4kW DC drive motors provide differential traction and a tight 1600mm turning radius.

The FSEP Series warehouse order picker is a precision-engineered, fully electric solution designed to replace hazardous rolling ladders and manual stock pickers in high-density storage environments. Engineered for Order Picking (OP) workflows, this unit combines a compact 700mm wide chassis with a maximum platform lift height of 4500mm, facilitating a safe picking interface at up to 6.1 meters. By transitioning from manual climbing to self-propelled elevation, facilities can significantly reduce operator fatigue and musculoskeletal strain. The unit features a 300kg Safe Working Load (SWL), accommodating a standard operator plus approximately 220kg of merchandise, making it ideal for case picking, parts retrieval, and inventory management in narrow-aisle setups.

Performance

Vertical Access & Structural Payload

The FSEP model utilizes a rigid mast structure to deliver a maximum platform height of 4500mm. Unlike wide-base scissor lifts, this unit maintains a strictly linear vertical footprint with a chassis width of only 700mm. This geometric profile allows the warehouse order picker to operate effectively in aisles as narrow as 1.8 meters, maximizing storage density. The hydraulic lifting system supports a rated capacity of 300kg, distributed across the operator platform and the cargo shelf. This configuration allows for the simultaneous elevation of personnel and heavy SKUs, increasing picking throughput by eliminating the need for separate material transport during the picking cycle.

Propulsion & Maneuverability Engineering

Operational efficiency is driven by a dual-motor propulsion system consisting of two 24V/0.4kW DC drive motors. This differential drive configuration provides torque directly to the load wheels, ensuring traction on standard warehouse concrete finishes. The system is governed by a 1600mm turning radius, enabling tight pivots at the end of racking rows. The integration of an electromagnetic braking system ensures automatic engagement when the throttle is released or when the unit stops on gradients, eliminating the rollback risks associated with manual push-around units. The 40mm ground clearance is optimized for indoor surfaces, ensuring stability while avoiding floor joint obstructions.

Power Management & Duty Cycle

Designed for continuous uptime, the unit houses a 24V DC power plant comprised of two 12V/150Ah maintenance-free batteries. This configuration yields a theoretical energy capacity of 3.6 kWh, sufficient to support an 8-hour single-shift duty cycle under standard VDI picking protocols. The system includes an integrated 24V/15A on-board charger, allowing for decentralized charging via standard 110V/220V outlets. This design removes the need for dedicated battery rooms and reduces facility infrastructure costs, while the maintenance-free battery chemistry eliminates the need for water-filling service intervals.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is warehouse order pickers?

A warehouse order picker is a type of material handling equipment used to safely lift operators to medium and high shelves for picking individual items to fulfill orders. It is widely used in warehouses, distribution centers, and logistics facilities to improve picking efficiency and maximize storage space.

Is an order picker a forklift?

An order picker is a specialized type of forklift designed for order picking rather than pallet transport. Unlike standard forklifts, it lifts the operator along with the load to access goods directly on racks, making it ideal for e‑commerce and inventory fulfillment operations.
